Welcome to the University of Houston-Clear Lake (UHCL). UHCL is an upper-level educational institution with a distinct identity, whose primary role is to provide fair and equitable learning opportunities to graduate and undergraduate students. The university serves a diverse student population from the state, the nation and abroad, particularly from the Houston-Galveston metropolitan area, by offering programs on and off campus.
The undergraduate programs in Computer Science and Computer Information Science are currently accredited by the Accreditation Board of Engineering and Technology (ABET). Both programs have recently undergone reaccreditiation. ABET is the nationwide accreditation body which certifies computing, information systems, and engineering programs in colleges and universities across the United States.
