BIOL 5534
Conservation Biology
This course investigates the biological, physical and anthropogenic forces shaping the earth's ecosystem, population and genetic biodiversity. Current and historic issues surrounding endangered species and the conservation of the earth's biological diversity will be explored through case studies, research literature and class discussions.
BIOL 5534 is an elective course for graduate BIOL and ENSC majors. Other graduate science and environmental management majors are welcome in the course, provided they have some lower-level science, preferably ecology, in their background.
BIOL 5534 is normally offered during the spring semester of odd-numbered years (e.g., 2011).
