The CS M.S. program builds upon a B.S. computer science foundation. Incoming students are expected to have taken most of the core courses in the B.S. degree program. Other than computing undergraduates, engineering and mathematics undergraduates are more numerous. However, the program has a very large number of students with undergraduate degrees in other area of majors in the past.

spacewalkStudents who have not completed all required foundation courses can take courses to remove the deficiencies at UHCL. Visit the foundation preparation courses page to find out whether you may need to take some of them. The CS MS Application page contains information for applying to the program.

Perspective students may also visit the future student pages of the UHCL Website for general information about admission, including general admission requirements, admission procedures and online application.

If you have any question about admission, consult the academic advisors of the School of Science and Computer Engineering.
