![]() The University website has campus map and driving direction to the campus.
To better confer the location of UHCL and the Delta Building, where the CS department is located, a sequence of four Google's Earth satellite maps zooming from Houston to UHCL is shown below. The first map shows the relationship between Houston, Clear Lake and Galveston. Clear Lake is a suburb of Houston. Note that there are two loops in Houston, 610 is the inner loop and Beltway 8 is the outer loop. The highway I-45 connects Houston to Dallas (North) and Clear Lake (South).
The second map zooms into the Clear Lake area, showing the Hobby airport. Houston has two major airports. The larger airport, the International Airport of Houston is 15 miles North of downtown Houston.
The third map continues to zoom to UHCL. It shows the location of UHCL with respect to the highway I-45. NASA Johnson Space Center and the Armand Bayou Nature Center are neighbors of UHCL. Note that you can take the Bay Area Blvd. Exit (#26) on I-45 and follow Bay Area Boulevard for about 3.4 miles to reach UHCL. The official address of UHCL is 2700 Bay Area Boulevard. This map and the next one show that UHCL is in a large green area. UHCL has one of the most beautiful campuses in Texas.
The last map shows the main buildings of UHCL. Note that the high altitude photo is dated. It only shows a green area for the student service building, which was built in 2005. The Horsepen Bayou separates the Delta Building and the Bayou Building and leads to the Armond Bayou. There is a nature trail on the campus.
