![]() Dr. Andrew Yang
Dr. T. Andrew Yang earned his Ph.D. in Computer & Information Science from the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, in 1993. He is currently an associate professor of computer science and computer information systems at University of Houston - Clear Lake. His specialty areas include computer security, performance measurement of computing systems, and computer science education. As the coordinator of a multi-year NSF grant developing a distributed computer security network and labs, he has led a team of UHCL and UHD (UH - downtown) faculty and graduate students in designing and deploying the network and labs. He also has co-authored research papers with some of the members of the group in the area of computer security courseware development, security of wireless local area network, authentication of mobile ad hoc networks, and development of computer security labs. Since joining UHCL, his teaching responsibility has been in the area of database, internet protocols, and computer security. In addition, he has developed and taught new graduate and undergraduate computer courses in the area of computer security, including CSCI 5234 Web Security, CSCI 4233 Computer Security, and CSCI 5931 Topic: Networking Security. |
