Dr. Alfredo Pérez-Dávila is an Associate Professor of the Computer Science Program at UHCL. He obtained his Ph.D. in CS from Vanderbilt University in 1987, also has a M.S. in CS from Vanderbilt University (1983) and a M.S. in Computer Engineering from Stanford University (1980).

His teaching and research areas include: Operating Systems, Networking Protocols, Distributed and N-Tier Client Server Architectures, and recently he has been involved in promoting and recruiting programs for CS undergraduate students. His grants and sponsored research and development activities have brought to UHCL over $1.5 million over the last 15 years and produced over 15 publications. He has also been an international invited speaker in several professional meetings.
