Wei Ding is a lecturer in Computer Science and Computer Information Systems. Her teaching and research interests include Data Mining, Machine Learning, Web application and E-Commerce development.

Wei received her B.E. degree in Computer Science from Xi'an Jiao Tong University in 1993 and M.Sc. degree in Software Engineering from George Mason University in 2000.

In the last eight years from 1993 to 2001, Wei had worked as a software engineer in the Bank of China, a testing engineer in Microsoft (China) Ltd., a system analyst and project manager in PanSky International Holding Co. Ltd., a quality assurance team leader in MultiCity.com, and a technical consultant and software engineer in VeriSign Inc.
