![]() Dr. Hisham Al-Mubaid
Dr. Hisham Al-Mubaid has received M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Computer Science from University of Texas at Dallas in 1997 and 2000 respectively. After that, he taught one year in State University of New York (SUNY) in Geneseo, NY. Since joining UHCL as assistant professor of computer science in 2001, he taught several graduate and undergraduate computer science courses including network protocols, advanced operating systems, design and analysis of algorithms, computer organization and assembly. Dr. Al-Mubaid also has developed a new graduate computer science course on distributed and middleware systems. His main research interests include natural language processing, text mining, machine learning, distributed systems, and bioinformatics. He published a number of research papers in these areas. Moreover, Dr. Al-Mubaid has interest in teaching-learning research; he published a few papers in this field, and he is an active member of UHCL teaching learning enhancement center. Finally, Dr. Al-Mubaid serves in technical and program committees for a number of conferences and journals. |
