Free Communications Workshop back in August

Dr. Chrstine Paul of the UHCL foreign language institute will host another English communications workshop in August (12th, 13th, 19th and 20th: Tuesdays and Wednesday) at UHCL Bayou Building 1235, 1:30-4:30PM for a total of 12 hours total.

The workshop is free to UHCL students. It has been well received by the participants in the past. Most workshop activities are games and role playing that encourage communications. You can read about past offerings here and here. Past participants can attend the workshop again.

The workshop should especially be interesting to international students who want to learn more about the American culture.

The workshop is sponsored by the UHCL NSF Scholar program.

More on NSF STEM Scholarship

We have blogged on UHCL NSF STEM Scholarship. There are still time to apply. Several scholars have graduated and so we have additional scholarship awards to give out. This is a prestigious award with a strong support infrastructure to help scholars to be successful in their future academic and work career. Consider asking your friends to apply. Better yet, apply yourself if you are eligible.
